Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre (BMC) announces the opening of the competition for Preliminary Selection of Postdoctoral Applications for submission to the State Education Development Agency (SEDA) for the research application selection round for Activity 188.8.131.52 “Post-doctoral Research Aid” of the Specific Aid Objective 1.1.1 “To increase the research and innovative capacity of scientific institutions of Latvia and the ability to attract external financing, investing in human resources and infrastructure” of the Operational Programme “Growth and Employment”.
Duration of the competition: 08.09.2016. līdz 17.10.2016.
Latvia has been approved as a member of the European Research Infrastructure Consortium BBMRI-ERIC (Biobanking and BioMolecular Resources Research Infrastructure - European Research Infrastructure Consortium). Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre has beennominated for the implementation of the National Node function and director Jānis Kloviņš is nominated as the National Coordinator.
Published scientific article "Variation in the glucose transporter gene SLC2A2 is associated with glycemic response to metformin" in journal "Nature Genetics" with participating BMC authors assoc.prof. Jānis Kloviņš, prof. Valdis Pīrāgs and researcher Linda Zaharenko.
